The Computer Vision and Intelligent Systems Laboratory (CVIS) was first founded by Dr. Wang in 2014 at the University of Kansas, USA, and later relocated to Toronto Metropolitan University in 2020. CVIS is dedicated to pioneering research in computer vision, image analysis, and artificial intelligence (AI). The team actively contributes to the following research topics, with publications featured at top conferences like CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, AAAI, NeurIPS, ICLR, MICCAI, and ICRA.

  • Machine learning and artificial intelligence
  • Object detection and recognitionn
  • Visual SLAM and robot navigation
  • Visual attention and object tracking
  • 3D computer vision
  • Medical image analysis
